ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Classes

 

CARIS in partnership with the CONEL (College of North East London) increased its service provision from 20 to 35 student places, enabling an extra 15 student learners a  term] to access ESOL and Literacy courses targeting different levels of abilities. As well as learning necessary everyday English, learners find opportunities for volunteer work, further training and educational possibilities that enable them to enter the workforce.  This personal development has a profound positive impact on individual and family well-being.

 

In the previous academic year there was a 100% student progression into further education from the cohorts. CARIS is committed to widening participation and continues to develop and establish partnerships with other educational and professional institutions to support learning and personal development.
